Lusail University has honored the Thani bin Abdullah Humanitarian Services Foundation in recognition of its outstanding partnership and its role in supporting students. The honor was presented during a ceremony for partners for the Fall 2026 semester—an initiative aimed at strengthening community partnerships and highlighting the contributions of organizations that support the educational process.
This recognition reflects the ongoing collaboration between the two entities to assist students who are unable to afford tuition fees, enabling them to continue their university studies without interruption. It exemplifies the complementary roles played by educational and humanitarian institutions in providing access to education and fostering family stability.
The Foundation and Lusail University are bound by a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that establishes a framework for supporting financially disadvantaged students enrolled at the university. This includes providing assistance mechanisms to help them complete their academic journeys, rooted in both parties' commitment to social responsibility and their shared belief in the role of education in development.
Areas of cooperation include covering part or all of the tuition fees for students whose financial need is verified according to the Foundation’s established criteria. The agreement also facilitates the exchange of information and documentation necessary for assessing individual cases, while strictly adhering to privacy and confidentiality standards. Furthermore, the MoU stipulates that financial support is to be paid directly to the university to cover the tuition fees of the beneficiary students, in accordance with the mechanisms agreed upon by both parties. "Thani Humanitarian" is committed to expanding its partnerships with educational institutions in the State of Qatar, with the aim of supporting deserving students and alleviating the financial burdens on their families. This initiative seeks to enhance opportunities for students to pursue university education and to develop skilled individuals capable of contributing to the nation’s development. The foundation evaluates requests for support based on specific criteria and mechanisms designed to verify each case, ensuring that donations reach those who truly need them.
